It is morning, and the light is golden. All around you, the grass is huge and a giant daisy rises toward the sky. Everywhere, dewdrops shine.

In real life

Dew and ladybugs

Dew is little drops of water that settle on grass or on objects, after a night when the air has cooled down. [1]

When the grass gets cold enough, the water vapor in the air turns into drops on it. Dew settles mostly on grass and on car roofs, when the weather is calm. [1][2]

When it freezes, it's no longer dew that forms, but frost. [1]

Many ladybugs eat aphids, small insects that feed on plant sap. A single ladybug can eat up to 5,000 of them in its life! [3]
