In real life
Real rainforests
Rainforests grow near the equator, where it is hot. It is mild there all year round, between 20 and 25 °C on average, and it never freezes. [1]
It rains a huge amount there: every year, between 2 and 10 meters of rain falls. [1]
The tallest trees can be more than 75 meters tall. Their leaves block out the sun, so very little light reaches the ground. [1]
Big vines climb up the trees to reach the light, way up at the top. [1]
